Sergi Escandell (1988) started filming marine life at the age of 12. Since then he has participated in more than 30 wildlife documentaries. He has worked for Brian Leith Productions on the series ‘The Future Of Nature’ narrated by Uma Thurman and broadcast on BBC and PBS. For Subimagery Productions he collaborated with world-renowned cinematographer Didier Noirot on a documentary about Canada's marine life. He has participated with his images in the Netflix series ‘Our Oceans’ directed by the creators of Blue Planet II and narrated by Barack Obama. He has also written, directed and filmed with his brother a documentary called ‘Wild Spain’ which has been distributed in cinemas and channels all over the world, including Canal Arte. He has also collaborated with various NGOs that protect the oceans and his images of cetaceans were screened at the UN convention on World Oceans Day.
